Medicare Physician Fee Schedule - Update

Medicare Fee Schedule extended through 2011

A bill to freeze the Medicare physician fee schedule through the end of 2011, instead of the decrease that was scheduled to take effect on January 1, has cleared Congress and was sent to President Obama for his signature.

Congress hopes that this 1-year freeze will give them enough time to work out a permanent solution to the Medicare SGR crisis.
