POHMS depends on the efforts of its many volunteers to make things happen throughout the year. Our committee activities offer a wealth of opportunities for you to get more involved, make new friends and assist with the association's annual activities. Programs Committee

  • Schedule Meetings
  • Locations
  • Speakers, Topics
  • Review Evaluation from meetings

Reimbursement & Coding Committee

CHAIR:  Mary Lois Moss
MEMBERS:  Maryann Wingate; Lorey Keeney; Fran Spine

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new coding policies and communicate to members
  • Report on carrier issues
  • Liaison with carriers and Payer Strategy Committee
  • Create a contact list for major insurance carriers
  • EOB One support group
  • Regional Account Manager contact list

Leadership Development

CHAIR:  Shar Bence
MEMBERS:  Henry Whitlark; Naren Srivastava; Kelly Bishop

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor
  • Invite guests to BoD meeting
  • Survey members on meetings attended
  • Arrange for POHMS Members to present information on their practice; office set-up/best practices

Legislative Committee

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate legislative changes to membership.

Membership & Nominating Committee

CHAIR: Paula Thompson
MEMBERS: Diane Minter, Kelly Bishop, Roxanne Alessandroni.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome packet for new members
  • Membership Dues
  • Arrange for raffles for those in attendance at meetings.

Marketing Committee

CHAIR:  Mary Lois Moss

Responsibilities:

  • Hand-outs/giveaways
  • Website information
  • Direct potential members
  • Membership Package
